Gwanda State University held a public lecture in conjunction with the Young Miners
Foundation, Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Zimbabwe Institute of
Foundries running on Wednesday, 24 November 2022 at Epoch Mine Campus.
The event which was running under the theme “Transformative innovation for sustainable
mining with a goal of value addition” was well attended by students from the Departments
of Mining Engineering, Geomatics and Surveying, and Metallurgical Engineering.
The main thrust of the public lecture was to advance and upscale youths entrepreneurial
participation in mining enterprise, development and commercialisation.
